Caterpillar Seals 46-Acre Deal For Calif. Distribution Center

Law360, New York (November 7, 2011, 6:54 PM EST) -- Construction and mining equipment giant Caterpillar Logistics Inc. has agreed to buy 46 acres of land at the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center in California for a parts distribution facility as part of a wider effort to expand capacity nationwide, the company said Monday.

The 400,000-square-foot distribution facility is expected to be completed by late 2012 and to employ about 150 people. Caterpillar did not disclose the financial details of the deal.
