Terrorist Sues Lions Gate Over Film’s Fugitive Label

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 5:09 PM EST) -- A member of the so-called Portland Seven terrorist cell on Thursday sued Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. and others behind the film “The Next Three Days” in California, alleging the film used his likeness without permission and wrongly depicted him as a fugitive. 

Bilal Ahmed filed a suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Lions Gate, Hwy 61 Films LLC and other unnamed defendants, claiming the film misappropriated his image, using it to portray him in a false light as a felon on the run. ...
