ConAgra Moves Peanut Butter Suit To Federal Court

Law360, New York (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- ConAgra Foods Inc., which already faces at least three proposed class actions by people who became sick after eating salmonella-contaminated Peter Pan peanut butter, has removed a similar products liability case from state court to federal court.

The Omaha, Neb.-based food retail giant removed the state case to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois on Wednesday, saying that the plaintiff bringing the case resides in a different state.
