Judge To Approve Borders' Disclosure Statement

Law360, New York (November 10, 2011, 12:59 PM EST) -- A New York bankruptcy judge said Thursday that he would sign off on Borders Group Inc.'s disclosure statement for its joint liquidation plan and that he considered it a milestone the case had reached this point.

Approval of the statement — which U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn said he would grant after attorneys make minor changes to language about releases — and of voting procedures push the defunct bookseller closer to its goal of winning support for its liquidation plan and ending its Chapter 11 case....
