League Operator Seeks To Sink ‘Skee-Ball’ Trademark

Law360, New York (November 10, 2011, 5:48 PM EST) -- Competitive skee-ball league operator Full Circle United LLC on Tuesday lodged a breach of contract and trademark suit in New York, alleging game manufacturer Skee-Ball Inc.’s “skee-ball” mark is a generic term and the trademark should be thrown out.

In a suit seeking declaratory judgment, Full Circle, which runs a skee-ball league under the registered trademark name "Brewskee-ball," asked the court to cancel SBI’s trademark and rule that Full Circle was not liable for litigation over use of the term.
