High Court Asked To Review Bayer Crop Damage Suit

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 4:47 PM EST) -- Crawfish buyers and processors on Monday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to revive a putative class action against Bayer CropScience LP and an insurer over a Bayer pesticide that allegedly devastated the state's crawfish crops.

The move follows the Fifth Circuit's ruling in June that a Louisiana federal court justifiably granted summary judgment to Bayer and its insurer Allianz Global Risks U.S. Insurance Co. in May 2010.
