HP Sues Ex-Tech Chief Over Move To Cisco

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 7:46 PM EST) -- Hewlett-Packard Co. launched a suit in Texas on Wednesday against its former chief technologist claiming he breached a confidentiality agreement by leaving to work for rival Cisco Systems Inc. and filing his own suit to invalidate the contract.

Paul Perez resigned from his post at HP on Nov. 14 and announced that he had accepted a job as chief technology officer with Cisco's Server Access Virtualization Technology Group, a direct competitor, according to a complaint filed by HP in Harris County, Texas, court.
