Judge Delays Bribery Sentencing For Ex-Army Major

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 7:09 PM EST) -- An Alabama federal judge delayed sentencing Wednesday for an ex-U.S. Army major convicted of taking $3 million in bribes in exchange for contracts to supply bottled water in Iraq and Kuwait, giving him time to respond to the government's sentencing memorandum.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Emerson Hopkins moved Eddie Pressley's sentencing to Jan. 5 and delayed the sentencing of Pressley's wife, Eurica, in response to her request for a new attorney. The judge ordered an ex parte hearing for Nov. 21 on Eurica Pressley's motion....
