Cinema Co.'s Insurers Settle Suit Over $58M Fax Ads Award

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 9:12 PM EST) -- United Artists Theatre Circuit Inc. and its insurers on Wednesday settled a suit brought by an Arizona company seeking to force the insurers to pay a $58 million judgment against UA in an underlying class action over a fax advertising blast.

U.S. District Judge John W. Sedwick dismissed Starkle Ventures LLC's declaratory judgment suit after the parties — including National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Ohio Casualty Co. — filed a notice of settlement earlier this week.
