Calif. High Court Won't Hear Golden Gate Road Challenge

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 8:07 PM EST) -- The California Supreme Court refused Wednesday to hear an engineers union's challenge to a state plan to use a private contractor to design and maintain a replacement for a roadway leading to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Professional Engineers in California Government had petitioned the high court to overturn an appeals court decision that allowed the second phase of the so-called Doyle Drive project in San Francisco to move forward under the state's recently expanded authority to enter into private-public partnerships.
