Pfizer Sued Over Hormone Replacement Drugs

Law360, New York (July 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas couple has filed a lawsuit against Pfizer Inc. alleging the company's hormone replacement drugs caused the wife to develop breast cancer.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Frances Garcia and her husband, Simon Garcia III, accuse Pharmacia & Upjohn Co., Pfizer Inc. and Greenstone LTD, of negligence, strict product liability for design defect and failure to warn, breach of implied warranty, and loss of consortium, among other things.
