Judge Approves Ramp Corp. Settlement

Law360, New York (July 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge shrugged off a shareholder objection Tuesday by approving a $2 million settlement in a securities class action against health care software maker Ramp Corp.

At a fairness hearing last week, shareholder Kenneth Blake Golding said he lost a significant amount of his investment in Ramp, and he asked for an extended discovery period. He also alleged that the lawsuit was filed prematurely and that class counsel would consume too much of the settlement in fees and expenses.
