French Investor, DOJ Reach Deal In Talks Over Poker Site

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 2:11 PM EST) -- Groupe Bernard Tapie is a step closer to reaching a final deal with the U.S. Department of Justice that would allow it to buy shuttered online gambling site Full Tilt Poker for $80 million, an attorney for the French investment group said Friday.

GBT and the DOJ signed a letter agreement that lays the framework for a deal that could ultimately see FTP forfeit itself to the Justice Department, which would then sell the assets to GBT, according to Behnam Dayanim of Axinn Veltrop & Harkrider...
