Miss. Hotel Group Settles Golf Voucher Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 21, 2011, 6:28 PM EST) -- A Mississippi hotel association on Friday settled its suit accusing a golf course group of violating antitrust laws by using unfair tactics to sell lower-priced vouchers for rounds of golf, just two months after the Fifth Circuit revived the suit.

U.S. District Judge Halil S. Ozerden dismissed with prejudice the case brought by the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association and its predecessor, the Gulf Coast Hotel-Motel Association, against the Mississippi Gulf Coast Golf Course Association, saying the parties had informed the court of a settlement....
