US Airways' Monopoly Claim Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (November 21, 2011, 6:22 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Monday said she will not throw out US Airways Inc.'s claims that ticket distributor Sabre Holdings Corp. uses an illegal monopoly to preserve its “obsolete” business model.

U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum, speaking at a hearing, said she thought the airline's allegations were substantial enough that the case should move forward.
