Plaintiffs Call For Guidant To Turn Over Device Data

Law360, New York (July 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in the multidistrict product liability litigation against Guidant Corp. have asked a federal court judge to force the medical device maker to turn over more information it downloaded from its allegedly defective implantable heart defibrillators, charging that it only passed on portions of its findings.

The plaintiffs in the massive litigation claim that Guidant, which was acquired by Boston Scientific Corp. last year, violated the court's November pretrial order requiring the company to produce the data it downloaded from the implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
