Arbitration Deal Bars FLSA Class Action: Nordstrom

Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 6:56 PM EST) -- Citing the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Concepcion, Nordstrom Inc. on Tuesday asked a California federal court to compel arbitration in a proposed Fair Labor Standards Act class action against it and require plaintiffs to arbitrate individually.

Nordstrom salespersons Gina Balasanyan and Nune Nalbandian sued the retailer in April, alleging they were not paid for all the hours they worked.
