Travelers, US End $5.8M Fight Over Hangar Contract

Law360, Chicago (November 28, 2011, 7:54 PM EST) -- Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America said Monday it had reached a settlement to end its $5.8 million suit against the federal government for costs it allegedly incurred after taking over extra work on a $27 million aircraft hangar construction contract.

Travelers and the government lodged a notice alerting the U.S. Court of Federal Claims that they had entered a deal to resolve the suit, which the insurer launched after the government rejected its claim for cash it said it had shelled out in connection...
