Law360, New York (November 28, 2011, 8:02 PM EST) -- A broker-dealer arm of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. deliberately withheld evidence and gave false testimony in a 2001 securities fraud suit involving a financial planning firm, with help from Bingham McCutchen LLP, according to a $1.2 billion suit removed to Connecticut federal court Monday.
The suit, originally lodged by the Boston Property Exchange Transfer Co. Inc. in Connecticut court Oct. 28, claims that Merrill Lynch's actions resulted in a $20 million judgment against BPETCO in Massachusetts court.
