Judge Won’t Nix $16M Building Buy Run By Ex-Crowell Atty

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 9:01 PM EST) -- A New York state judge refused Tuesday to dismiss a demand by the putative buyer of a Manhattan building that the seller complete the $16 million deal, which was allegedly bungled by an ex-Crowell & Moring LLP attorney facing embezzlement charges.

The lawsuit is one of several involving real estate deals with former Crowell & Moring attorney Douglas Arntsen, who allegedly embezzled millions of dollars from a firm escrow account and recently agreed to be extradited from Hong Kong to face criminal charges in New York....
