Discover Continued Robocalls Despite Pleas To Stop: Suit

Law360, New York (December 2, 2011, 12:49 PM EST) -- A cellphone user launched a class action in California on Wednesday accusing Discover Financial Services of robocalling him multiple times per day, even when he demanded the company stop doing so.

The financial giant has called potentially hundreds of thousands of consumers' cellphones, without their consent, using an automatic dialing system or an artificial or prerecoded voice, according to a complaint filed in federal court by California resident Walter Bradley. The calls violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the complaint says.
