NY Lawmaker's Chief Of Staff Arrested For Bribery Role

Law360, New York (December 1, 2011, 11:17 PM EST) -- New York state Assemblyman William Boyland Jr.'s chief of staff was arrested Thursday and charged with helping the recently-arrested lawmaker to solicit more than $250,000 in bribes.

Prosecutors claim Ryan Hermon helped her boss in a number of schemes in which he sought or accepted thousands of dollars from a carnival promoter and two undercover FBI agents, whom they believed were out-of-state businessmen and real estate developers, between August 2010 and June 2011, according to a complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York....
