Clear Channel, American Eagle Nicked Billboard Idea: Suit

Law360, New York (December 5, 2011, 7:10 PM EST) -- A New York man alleges in a breach of contract suit filed Friday that Clear Channel Spectacolor passed on his confidential advertising project idea to American Eagle Outfitters Inc., which then used it in a Times Square campaign of its own.

Jet Thomason's complaint, filed in New York Supreme Court, claims that Clear Channel breached its confidentiality agreement when, after meeting with the plaintiff, the media conglomerate disclosed details of his 15 Seconds of Fame interactive billboard concept with clothing retailer American Eagle.
