Halliburton Destroyed Deepwater Spill Evidence: BP

Law360, New York (December 5, 2011, 6:01 PM EST) -- BP PLC argued Monday that Halliburton Energy Services Inc. intentionally threw out unfavorable tests on cement used for the oil well tied to the Deepwater Horizon disaster, seeking sanctions for spoliation of evidence in the Louisiana multidistrict litigation over the spill.

Halliburton has refused during discovery to hand over its post-explosion test results and 3-D computer modeling, which would undermine its defenses in the sprawling MDL over the April 2010 explosion and oil spill, BP contended.
