Class Action Takes Aim At Toy Co.

Law360, New York (July 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- RC2 Corp. has been hit with a class action following last month’s recall of its Thomas & Friends wooden trains and railroad sets, which were found to be coated with lead paint that could potentially damage brain cells, especially in children.

The Oak Brook, Ill.-based toy producer was sued in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on June 27 on behalf of individuals who purchased its wooden railway toys since January 2005.
