Contracts Abroad Should Count In Small Biz Tally: Report

Law360, New York (December 7, 2011, 9:05 PM EST) -- Overseas government contracts should be included in calculations to determine whether the federal government has met its goal of maximizing contracting opportunities for small businesses, a U.S. Small Business Administration watchdog said Tuesday.

The SBA's Office of Inspector General made the recommendation to count contracts awarded or performed overseas starting in fiscal year 2011 despite objections from the agency.
