Temp Agency Adecco Settles Technicians' OT Action

Law360, New York (December 7, 2011, 5:37 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday signed off on an agreement between Adecco USA Inc. and a class of engineering employees who accused the staffing agency of breaching contract by failing to pay the workers overtime.

U.S. Magistrate Judge E. Thomas Boyle gave his stamp of approval to the $780,000 settlement, bringing to a close the Adecco field technicians' class and collective action allegations that the company's failure to pay overtime violated the Fair Labor and Standards Act and breached an employment agreement.
