NYPD Detectives Sue City Over Overtime Pay

Law360, New York (December 9, 2011, 6:31 PM EST) -- The New York Police Department has deliberately failed to pay potentially thousands of detectives proper overtime, a retired cop alleged Friday in a class action lawsuit that builds on a police win at the Second Circuit.

John Barry, a detective who left the force in August, says in the suit, filed in New York federal court, that he alone has not been paid for over 4,600 hours of overtime he clocked.
