Watson Pays $27M To Exit Drug Inflation MDL

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 10:11 PM EST) -- Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Tuesday agreed to pay $27 million to settle the remaining whistleblower claims against it in the Massachusetts multidistrict litigation accusing several pharmaceutical companies of reporting inflated drug prices to Medicaid.

In a joint motion to approve the settlement, Watson and relator Ven-A-Care of the Florida Keys Inc. also asked U.S. District Judge Patti B. Saris to dismiss all remaining claims with prejudice.
