Medtronic Hit With Catheter Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Medtronic Inc. and its subsidiary have been tied into a lawsuit for allegedly infringing a medical device maker’s patent covering specialized catheters.

Spectranetics Corp., based in Colorado Springs, Colo., brought the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas against Medtronic and Medtronic Vascular Inc. for allegedly making and selling aspiration catheters in the U.S.
