Judge Excuses Defendants In H&R Block Suit

Law360 (July 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A state supreme court judge has made a key ruling in a case brought against H&R Block Inc. in March 2006 by current New York Governor and former state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, allowing the case to go forward against H&R Block Financial Advisors Inc. but dismissing the parent company and five of its units from the suit.
