Ex-Boeing Unit Worker Denies Swiping Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 8:36 PM EST) -- A former contract worker for a The Boeing Co. unit that develops U.S. military drones on Friday pled not guilty to charges that he stole its trade secrets while working on a U.S. Navy project and blackmailed his former employers for a settlement to keep him from leaking sensitive information.

Prosecutors charged Stephen Marty Ward with blackmailing two of his former co-workers after stealing highly sensitive trade secrets belonging to Insitu Inc., the Bingen, Wash.-based Boeing subsidiary.
