NYU Sacked Professor Over James Franco's D Grade: Suit

Law360, New York (December 19, 2011, 5:47 PM EST) -- A former New York University professor lodged an employment discrimination suit Friday, claiming the school fired him after he gave celebrity James Franco a bad grade and reported discriminatory, racially biased behavior by his superiors.

In a complaint filed in New York state court, Jose Angel Santana, who was previously head of acting at NYU’s graduate film department, claims the university harassed and discriminated against him because of his Hispanic and African ancestry.
