5th Circ. Revives Whistleblower Suit V. Credit Union

Law360, New York (December 19, 2011, 8:43 PM EST) -- The Fifth Circuit on Monday revived a lawsuit brought by a Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union employee who claims she was fired for complaining of possible fraud in the company’s lending practices.

A Louisiana court had granted summary judgment to GNOFCU on Mary Schroeder's claims, but the Fifth Circuit vacated the ruling and reinstated her Federal Credit Union Act and state whistleblower law claims.
