Simpson, Milbank Aid KKR, Google In Solar Investment

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 3:00 PM EST) -- Private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LP and Google Inc. have invested in four utility-scale solar projects in Sacramento, Calif., that will power more than 13,000 homes when they are powered up next year, the companies said Tuesday.

The projects, under Sacramento-based developer Recurrent Energy LLC, will serve the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. Electricity produced by three of the projects is contracted for 20 years, Google said.
