Card Issuers Team Up To Dismiss Late-Fee Case

Law360 (July 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Six of the largest U.S. credit card issuers are aiming to dismiss a putative class action that accuses them of colluding to fix late fees charged to credit card holders.

Bank of America Corp. and five other issuing banks joined forces Friday in an attempt to dismiss the antitrust action against them in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claiming that the plaintiffs failed to state an antitrust claim under federal or state laws.
