Micromuse Sues Agilent, Aprisma Over Network Management Systems

Law360, New York (February 2, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- California software maker Micromuse Inc. has filed patent-infringement lawsuits against rivals Agilent Technologies Inc. and Aprisma Management Technologies Inc. over various patents used in network management systems.

The two separate complaints, which Micromuse filed Jan. 26 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, accuse Agilent and Aprisma of making various products that violate Micromuse patents.

The companies are already entrenched in patent litigation. Agilent and Aprisma have both filed their own patent-infringement claims against Micromuse in November 2003 and December 2002, respectively....
