EA Can't Kill Activision's $400M 'Call Of Duty' Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (December 21, 2011, 8:47 PM EST) -- A California judge on Wednesday refused to toss Activision Publishing Inc.'s $400 million counterclaims against rival video game publisher Electronic Arts Inc., which it claims attempted to sabotage its “Call of Duty” series by talking to two producers of the game.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle said there was a triable issue of fact as to whether top EA executives attempted to induce star video game makers Jason West and Vince Zampella to jump ship and terminate their contract with Activision.
