Sun-Times Media Bought By Tech Investor's Group

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 5:37 PM EST) -- An new investment group led by the head of a technology investment firm and the former publisher of Newsday has agreed to buy Sun-Times Media Holdings LLC, the company that owns the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, the group said Wednesday.

The investment group, Wrapports LLC, expects to close the acquisition by the end of this year, it said in a statement that did not disclose terms. The investors bought Sun-Times Media from a group led by recently deceased Chicago financier James C. Tyree.
