Ceradyne Suit Over Armor Contract Changes Dismissed

Law360, New York (December 23, 2011, 12:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Thursday tossed a lawsuit that Ceradyne Inc. brought to block rival contractors from supplying additional body armor inserts under their contracts with the U.S. Army.

The U.S. government and intervenor BAE Systems Aerospace & Defense Group were able to persuade the court to dismiss the suit, though no costs were awarded. The reasoning behind the court's ruling and Ceradyne's complaint itself both remained under seal. Ceradyne's demand is listed as $24 million on the docket.
