Cuomo Calls For Huge Development Push To Boost NY

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 6:38 PM EST) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday unveiled a plan to create jobs and kick-start economic growth in the state by building a colossal $4 billion convention center in New York City, among other development projects.

Cuomo’s 2012 State of the State Address contained a host of proposals to give the economy a shot in the arm while reining in spending, none more ambitious than the construction of the nation’s largest convention center, a 3.8-million-square-foot behemoth in Queens, according to a statement from the governor’s office....
