Insurer Balks At Defense Of Mickey Rooney's Stepson

Law360, New York (January 5, 2012, 2:11 PM EST) -- The insurer for actor Mickey Rooney's stepson, whom Rooney accused last year of elder abuse, asked a Los Angeles court on Wednesday to declare that it is not obligated to defend Rooney's stepson in the underlying suit.

Fire Insurance Exchange sued Christopher Aber and his wife, Christina Aber, in L.A. Superior Court, seeking a declaratory judgment that its policy does not require it to defend or indemnify the Abers.
