Ex-Army Major Gets 12 Years For Iraq Bribery Scheme

Law360, New York (January 6, 2012, 1:54 PM EST) -- An Alabama federal judge on Thursday handed a 12-year sentence to an ex-U.S. Army major convicted of taking $3 million in bribes in exchange for contracts to supply bottled water in Iraq and Kuwait.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Emerson Hopkins sentenced Eddie Pressley to serve 144 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. He also must forfeit $21 million, real estate and several automobiles.
