Verizon Sued Over Mobile Phone Alert Technology

Law360 (July 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Internet company that has garnered licensing deals with Microsoft Corp., Yahoo Inc. and AOL Inc. has now dialed-in its patent enforcement efforts against Verizon Wireless for allegedly violating its intellectual property for automated alerts.

Teknowledge Corp. filed a patent infringement suit Tuesday against Verizon Wireless, which is also known as Cellco Partnership, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
