States Object To Indirect Purchaser Deals In LCD MDL

Law360, New York (January 9, 2012, 10:04 PM EST) -- The states of Illinois, Oregon and Washington told a California federal judge Friday that modifications are needed before a bid for approval of $538 million in settlements to end class action liquid crystal display price-fixing claims against Samsung Electronics Co. and others can be granted.

Washington and Illinois jointly lodged an objection, and Oregon filed opposition papers, in response to a motion last month for preliminary approval of the deals filed by the class of indirect purchasers and eight state attorneys general who are looking to...
