Galeos To Settle Suit Over Salad Dressing Nutrition Labels

Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 6:38 PM EST) -- Galeos LLC asked a federal judge on Monday to approve a settlement in a class action alleging that its salad dressing products' nutritional labels vastly understate calorie, fat and sodium contents, agreeing to provide refunds to the class.

The settlement would allow for full refunds to all class members who provided proofs of purchase and would give up to three bottles of Galeos' salad dressings to customers who could not provide proofs of purchase. Galeos also agreed to test its products twice a year to ensure...
