Stryker Unit Settles Bone Staple Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 12, 2012, 6:54 PM EST) -- A Stryker Corp. subsidiary has settled a patent infringement lawsuit with rival InteliFUSE Inc., which had accused it of illegally selling surgical staples containing InteliFUSE's patented technology, according to court documents filed Thursday.

In an order of dismissal filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Judge Paul G. Gardephe said he had been informed that InteliFUSE and Stryker's Memometal Technologies SA had reached a settlement out of court.
