USTR Asks ITC To Investigate Used Electronic Exports

Law360, New York (January 12, 2012, 7:03 PM EST) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk on Wednesday asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to lodge an investigation into U.S. exports of used electronic products under Section 332 of the Tariff Act of 1930.

Kirk made the request in a letter to the ITC Chairwoman Deanna Okun, asking the commission to undertake a study and prepare a report that describes U.S. exports of audio and visual equipment, computers and peripheral equipment, digital imaging devices, telecommunications equipment, and component parts of these products, according to the ITC....
