Ex-Madoff Controller Settles SEC Suit

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 12:30 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday approved a consent decree that will see the former controller for Bernard L. Madoff's investment firm pay a still-undetermined penalty to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Under the consent decree approved by U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain, Enrica Cotellessa-Pitz, the former controller for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, also agreed to comply with securities laws.
