AT&T Changes Name Of Broadband Telephony Service To Settle Trademark Suit

Law360 (February 10, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- AT&T has changed the name of its Internet phone service to resolve a trademark infringement dispute with its competitor Vonage, according to Vonage.

Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T must refer to its CallVantage service as AT&T CallVantage, Vonage said.

Vonage filed a trademark infringement lawsuit last year in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claiming that CallVantage sounded too much like Vonage.
